Last weekend, we attended makeup artist to the stars RB Chanco’s birthday bash at the Grand Hyatt Grand Ballroom. But it wasn’t just any birthday party–it was actually also a celebration of her 18th year in the makeup industry catering to celebs like Crazy Rich Asian, Kris Aquino, Bea Alonzo, Charo Santos, Liza Soberano, Maja Salvador, even Miss France 2016 and Ms. Universe 2017 Iris Mittenaire during the Miss Universe pageant in Manila.
We still have major party hangover tbh so here are 10 things we raved about on her party.
1. The styling was on point
Styled by party Dave Sandoval, RB’s bash was totally on point. Grand Hyatt’s Ballroom was transformed into a tapestry of flowers and it made the night even more magical that it was.
2. The star-studded guest list
With 18 years for doing celebrity makeup for 18 years, naturally, the event was going to be a star-studded one. The likes of Darren Espanto, Jodi Sta. Maria, Erich Gonzales, and Enchong Dee were there. There was a lot of beautiful people in attendance, we tell you!
3. The menu had the foodies singing their praises
But what’s a party without good food, right? And Grand Hyatt Manila did not disappoint on this very important point. But what we’re really raving about is their ribeye with salsa verde, cauliflower polaneise, asparagus, and cherry tomato! Definitely worth going back to here.
4. The photographs captured the moment perfectly
To make this party an affair to remember, photography also has to be on point so you can look back years or even decades after and remember every little detail even when your memory fails you a little. Niceprint Photography definitely delivered on this aspect as the photos captured moments perfectly. Forsc Ink also worked its magic with the special lighting and effects that they had for the event. Everything was spectacular.
5. The heartfelt speeches left us teary-eyed
To make an event really really special, you have to get a little bit teary-eyed, don’t you think? And there were a lot of happy tears all around with heartfelt speeches by Jodi Sta. Maria, Erich Gonzales, and Enchong Dee. Their words felt a little bit like a hug to the heart, I tell you!
6. RB Chanco looked stunning
What else would you expect from the woman who makes all the beautiful people on TV and movie screens even more beautiful? Her hair and makeup was on fleek and so was her blush mermaid cut gown. But more than that, it’s just her happiness and grace that made her glowed from the inside out.
7. The smooth flow of the event gave guests a pleasant experience
When it comes to event coordination, Chinkie Uy, Bea Salapantan and Metro Eventscape are a household name and this event was proof. There was just an excellent program sequence overall–everything flowed smoothly and there was no dull moment.
8. The drinks were flowing
What’s a party without booze, right? Grand Hyatt Hotel made sure each of RB’s guest were happy tipsy with free-flowing service red and white wines.
9. The pink color motif
Pink dominated the event from the flowers to the table settings to the tiniest of detail. Everything was done tastefully in shades of rose and pink.
10. RB’s Cake
To complement the pink color motif, RB chose a pink gradient cake shimmering with gold and adorned with sugar flowers by no less than Naked Patisserie. It’s a 4-tier Pink Velvet (in keeping with the pink motif!) cake that fit right in the gorgeous event styling.
Needless to say, it was a magical night for everyone involved. We feel so blessed to be part of this occasion and we can only wish for even half of RB’s success. Here’s to 18 years in the industry and 18 more, RB!
