Cakes towering to touch the chandeliers may be ideal for large ballrooms and grandiose celebrations, but when it came to the opulent cozy setting of Christian and Kat Bautista’s Manila Reception at The Manila Hotel it was all about the details.

Upon entering the Champagne Room, styled by legendary stylist Gideon Hermosa, a sea of glistening desserts greeted you at the entryway giving guests foresight in making their dessert plans as they were seated at their tables. This was a special request by Kat Bautista, who admittedly has a sweet tooth that we love her for!

On the opposite side of the table was a 4-layered cake, seen by guests from all angles of the Champagne Room throughout the program. Cohesive with the decor and floral arrangements seen throughout the room, this gold, blush-marbled, and Bordeaux- colored cake was designed to attract more than a glance from guests.

If you look closely at the cake, the bottom golden tier is hand-piped with royal icing designs. The boldly Bordeaux third-layer of the cake is likewise hand crafted with royal icing embellishments like dandelions, dragon flies, and roses giving the cake a whimsical and dreamy feel as it glistened in the light.
The flowers and golden leaves were completely edible and crafted by hand by the Naked Patisserie design team. All Naked Patisserie designs are inspired by nature and Christian and Kat Bautista’s cake was no exception to this common thread that weaves together all designs.
Kat chose lemon cake for cake cutting, but the star desserts of the night sat opposite of the table with Naked Patisserie signature favorites like Chocolate Oreo Cheesecake Truffles, Pucker Up Lemon Cheesecake, Pick-Me-Up Espresso Chocolate Cheesecake, Strawberries N’ Cream Cake, Chocoholic Truffle Cake and more.
