Stylists are the creative forces that mastermind the visual landscape for a wedding or event, and as a cake supplier, our relationship with event stylists is an important part of making our clients’ dreams come true.
The Philippines is never shy of creativity, but stylists in the Philippines elevate the industry to a different level, leading the way, in my opinion, as some of the world’s best creative minds and artists. It’s not uncommon for my American or Singaporean friends to see an Instagram photo from stylists like Gideon Hermosa and suddenly their jaw drops. “Are weddings really like that in the Philippines?” Transformative is the word that often flows through my mind when I step into a venue and see the fruit of their (the stylists’) labor.
As a cake supplier, Naked Patisserie always aims to work closely with the event stylists by getting a copy of the invitation, requesting samples of the color palette of the motif, and discussing how to integrate the cake together with the floral elements used to make the venue come alive. I value our relationship with stylists because they contribute so greatly to our success as a cake supplier.
There are too many talented stylists to list them all, but here are some of the mover and shakers in our industry (in no particular order) that have wow-ed the Naked Patisserie Team this year as we’ve grown and expanded to take on a higher volume of clientele.

Gideon styled my wedding so maybe I’m a bit partial, but common’ this artist’s work speaks for itself and he’s minted as a styling legend in the Philippines and beyond with good reason!

Julius Amante has an amazing story having worked in the UAE for many years. With all that experience under his belt, it’s no wonder why Amnate Fleurs is flooded with inquiries everyday. From his Mardi Gras birthday bash to the personal touch he puts on his clients’ home Christmas decor, Julius Amante is one of the best (and nicest guys you’ll ever meet).

Michael seemingly teleports from location to location— I see him at Wedding Essentials shoots, clients’ weddings, bridal fairs, and jet-setting all around the world. There’s always a sigh of relief when we hear that Michael Ruiz is the event stylist because working with his team is seamless.

Jo is a sweetheart. I’ll never forget my first time working with her at Shangri-La at the Fort for a wedding. There was a force of calm in the room because her team was so prepared in advance, and she helped us style the cake table to perfection. Another stylist who is a breeze to work with and one of my personal favs!

Before I was fully immersed in the wedding and Events industry Teddy Manuel was a name I heard often. From styling the Francis Libiran Bridal Affair de Coeur exhibition at Greenbelt 5 to innovating bridal fairs with one-of-a-kind styling elements, Teddy Manuel is a pillar in the wedding and events industry and one you can rely on.
To all of my newfound friends in the weddings and events industry who have trusted and supported Naked Patisserie, I extend my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to you all. I can’t wait to see what else wedding season has in store!
